On Friday June 3, Lady Velvet Cabaret held an intimate show at Manhattans Bar in Victoria Park. The theme for this event was ‘Candyland’ as it boasted a number of sweet and tasty performances from our performers including a memorable ‘Boylesque’ act from Chet Broadway entitled “I Love Rocky Road”. Lady Velvet Cabaret artistes Vita Flame, Lady Lace, Monet Petite, D’Arcy Treasure, Sugar Du Joure, Ella Mystique and Lola Moore also took the stage to entertain the audience with a variety of sugar coated performances. We saw traditional striptease fan dancing, burlesque, comedy, circus, poi, ballet, 1960s go-go dancing, chair dancing, a fire performance and more! We were also honoured to have Johnny Castrati (the alter-ego of Miss Burlesque Australia’s Rita Fontaine) as the MC for the evening. In addition, Monet Petite taught a saucy bump n’ grind dance class to a handful of tasty guests for an hour before the show. Guests were also treated to a cupcake stall featuring delicious treats from Leashy’s Cakes, a business located in Perth’s northern suburbs. All in all, it was a fun-filled evening and we look forward to our next show!
